Mgr Magdalena Paszkowska – psychologist, CBT and schema therapist
I help people who struggle with anxiety, emotional tension, and overload to regain peace, balance, and control over their lives.
My Approach
Helps understand the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Based on mutually agreed goals, it focuses on changing unhelpful beliefs and developing more effective coping strategies in everyday situations.
Focuses on deeper emotional patterns shaped in childhood. It enables recognition of schemas and modes that affect relationships and self-esteem, as well as gradual change of those that do not support a sense of security and balance.
It is the practice of being "here and now" with acceptance and curiosity. In therapy, it supports emotion regulation, stress reduction, and the development of self-awareness, and teaches self-compassion – gentleness towards oneself and care for one's own needs.
Who will benefit from cognitive-behavioral therapy?
If you often worry, find it hard to rest, feel like you "think too much," or suppress your emotions – I can help you better understand yourself and regain inner balance.
I work with people who:
- experience anxiety and emotional tension,
- struggle with perfectionism and excessive self-criticism,
- have difficulties in relationships,
- struggle with low self-esteem,
- feel overwhelmed by excessive responsibility.
How I work
In my work, I use cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and schema therapy – methods based on scientific research.
Together, we look at your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors to understand the mechanisms behind your well-being. Step by step, you learn to recognize your reaction patterns and build a more supportive way of thinking about yourself.
About me
I am a psychologist and cognitive-behavioral therapist during a 4-year psychotherapy training at SWPS University. I work in the CBT and schema therapy modalities.
In my office, empathy, commitment, and a sense of security are important to me. I believe that everyone has the resources to cope with difficulties – sometimes we just need space and the attentive presence of another person to find them.
