About Me

I am a psychologist and psychotherapist in training.

I obtained my psychology degree after 5 years of psychological studies at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, with a specialization in clinical psychology. I spent the first year of my studies in Scotland at the University of Aberdeen, where I completed modules I and II of the Counselling Skills Certificate Course (COSCA). I am currently training in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) at the SWPS University in Poznań. 'Be careful what you say to yourself, because you might find that you are listening' – this domain well reflects the spirit of the CBT modality. It is not the events themselves, but our perception, filtered through beliefs and thoughts, that influences the interpretation of the situation, and consequently our behavior and emotions.

I gained clinical experience during field classes at the Provincial Hospital for Nervous and Mentally Ill 'Dziekanka' in Gniezno and during an internship at the Department of Psychiatry at the Karol Jonscher Clinical Hospital of the Karol Marcinkowski Medical University in Poznań, as well as in a private psychological practice. I have completed the first level of the Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) course, and the Nonviolent Communication (NVC) training allows me to discover the individual needs and resources of each client, treating them as an expert in their own life. I have also completed a course in Crisis Intervention. I am constantly improving my qualifications, and as part of psychoeducation, I help people understand and regulate their emotions. In my work, I am guided by acceptance, respect, and empathic understanding. I believe that every person is unique and deserves an individual approach and full commitment.

My Approach

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Helps understand the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Based on mutually agreed goals, it focuses on changing unhelpful beliefs and developing more effective coping strategies in everyday situations.

Schema Therapy

Focuses on deeper emotional patterns shaped in childhood. It enables recognition of schemas and modes that affect relationships and self-esteem, as well as gradual change of those that do not support a sense of security and balance.

Mindfulness

It is the practice of being "here and now" with acceptance and curiosity. In therapy, it supports emotion regulation, stress reduction, and the development of self-awareness, and teaches self-compassion – gentleness towards oneself and care for one's own needs.
